Anyone who dared to write messages in Usenet was a troll?
OK, then I admit that I am and was a troll.
What about you? And you? And you..... everyone!? ;)
I don't believe I'm trolling you Mr. Man-wai Chang. My question is why Pepe the Frog is filling the newsgroup with incoherent word walls because he/she/it has a problem with you. I'm not your enemy nor am I the frog's enemy. I'm simply curious about the amphibian's behavior. ヽ(ヅ)ノ
SO in your dictionary, belief and faith, whoever dare to speak up or ask
questions is a troll?

Could you confirm this? :)

This is a Clipper newsgroup. Do you have anything with Clipper/dbase/Visual Objects or any subject related to this context?

Sorry, but your random questions seem to me a bit out of context and I ask myself the question what your motives are, or, whether you just are in the wrong NG, or, whether I'm to narrow minded to question that your (in my opinion random) remarks/questions are on the right place here.

And I don't mean just this post, but all your recent (other) posts in this newsgroup.

Mind you, I don't want to offend you.

Regards,
Otto

There are those that come into a "bar" looking for a fight. There are those that come into a "bar", looking to see new sights. There are those that come into a "bar", looking for solace with a problem. There are those that come into a "bar" looking for something to drink, in a place where the lights are not too bright.

"Mr. Man-wai Chang" has been all these things here, at one time or another. Currently he is spraying across many newsgroups, in contravention of guidelines, so I can only assume he is looking for bent noses or have noses bent, currently.

This too shall pass.

Our problems always swell to fill our personal viewpoint, and we are frequently shocked to find that others do not consider it to be "a big deal".

He was most interested to find out how others handled "fingerprint" images, and handled suitable image review, so that candidate images were not missed. And since he was targeting ADA (also), I suspect he was either looking at how to circumvent, or improve, fingerprint detection, for government systems. My crystal ball gets a little fuzzy.

How much excitement is there these days in xBase variants anyway? If it isn't X#, it doesn't seem to be worth mentioning.

Well, we really need a miracle to resurrect the golden age of xBase
products. :)

In a time when the small company is forced into buying off-the-shelf products, because the "entrepreneur programmer" is stunned into following the language du jur, paying through the nose for 3rd party libs, ignoring essentially free software... because it has no literature to teach it to him/her.

No it won't take a "miracle", just a reprint or two...

Let's see if X# generates any books. Then see if any "sheeple" can climb out of the machine, and make easier profits.

I shall pray for all xBase products for an amazing miracle, Mr. Smith!
